This statement is made pursuant to Section 54 of The Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out our approach ensuring that slavery and human trafficking is not taking place in our supply chains or in any other part of our business. About HCS Group
Headquartered in Frankfurt, Germany, with trading offices and group companies in Germany, United Kingdom, France, Belgium, USA and Japan, HCS Group is a leading international supplier of high-value hydrocarbon specialty products. All HCS Group companies must comply with local legislation and regulations. We are committed to operating with integrity, and respect for human rights is embedded within our employee Code of Conduct. We recognise that our reputation for high ethical standards and social performance is a key factor in our overall success within the Specialty Hydrocarbon industry.
Our supply chain
We maintain supply relationships with suppliers and customers who are recognised within our industry as being economically, environmentally and socially responsible. We expect our suppliers and customers to obey national and international standards that require them to treat workers and employees fairly, to provide a safe working environment, and to protect the quality of the working environment.
HCS Group has amended its standard supplier contractual terms to include obligations on suppliers to comply with the Modern Slavery Act, conduct slavery and human trafficking risk assessments, implement appropriate controls and to notify HCS Group immediately if they become aware of slavery or human trafficking in their supply chains. Suppliers who breach these obligations will face appropriate actions which could include termination of contracts.
As part of our initiative to identify and mitigate risk we are in the process of assessing potential risk areas in our supply chain and we are dedicating further time and resources to train employees to increase awareness relating to the prevention of slavery and human trafficking. This includes covering our policy on Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy at employee inductions.
